How to…Crochet tutorials – Make a Slim Base for a Bag

There is a new video tutorial available on YouTube.

It shows you how to create a slim base for a bag or other similar kind of project.

I used this base in the bag version of Luna’s Pouch and Bag, which I designed specifically for the Crochet Guild Australia conference in Sydney this year.

It is a follow-up on the workshop I am offering there, where the participants can learn how to read, write and chart an IOC (Image Overlay Crochet) pattern and start writing their own stories in yarn.

The Workshop is inaptly named ‘Wrapped in Jamie’ as a consequence of miscommunication with the marketing team. Please don’t let that hold you back from exploring how you too can use the logic and simplicity of IOC terminology to start designing your own stories and crocheting them in yarn.

Once you understand the basics of Image Overlay Crochet, you will be amazed at how easy it is to apply to other projects. There is so much more that you can do other than squares or these kinds of bags!

I am curious to see what you can come up with.
